Where is Our Angel?

In the movie KAL HO NA HO shahrukh's appearance as an angel is something which I'll never forget throughout  my life.Sometimes in our life we always need someone who can bring our life out of shit and bring it back to track. Now an angel is much needed by a group of 1.1 million people living in a small landlocked country in southern Africa.I am talking about Swaziland.

                                                                Swaziland
This country is completely under control of an absolute monarch.King Mswati 3rd has made the life of people full of agony and pain;they are suffering from a pain that dare not speak its name exactly like what is happening to children in Uganda due to the atrocities of Joseph Kony.Everything that is completely legal and justified in other countries is an act of "terrorism" in this place.Condemning the misrule is like using a nuclear bomb.Demonstration, meetings, shouting slogan, wearing tee-shirts with an inspiring slogan can lead you to detention. All this is total bullshit. The people here are living in 18th century.Media is under constant harassment. You can't write a single line against the atrocities and sufferings being inflicted on the citizens. If you do be ready to face the worst. In fact this has led to assassination of many in the country.A few years back Sipho Jele, the democratic activist was arrested, interrogated and finally hanged from  rafters of a prison toilet.

Just imagine how pathetic your life will be if you are subjected to live here only for a single day.You have to be ready every time to do works like construction, agricultural labour or weeding in gardens of Mswati that too without proper payment (and sometime you have to return with nothing in your hand). While 70% of the population lives on less than a dollar a day,Mswati(not Mayawati)'s personal net worth is an estimated $200 million,15th richest monarch in the world.

Defying the monarchical system can lead you to face sipakatane (flogging the bare soles of victim's feet with a spiked implement).Sexual harassment of girls by members of monarchy is a common thing(40% of adult population here is suffering from HIV/AIDS,probably the largest in the world). What will you do if someone do this kind of  behaviour with your own sister or mother?Wouldn't the blood inside you will reach the Algerian temperature;won't you like to smash that bloody fucker's face with anything you found around you(if you don't what kind of brother or son you are?)

Don't We Have Right to Live Like You?

People we need to take some serious steps to help these people. The inhabitants of Swaziland are not aliens, they belong to the very same fraternity we belong to.Then why this discrimination?
What You can do? Atleast spread awareness about this problem. You may be the angel they are waiting for.

Is it Necessasry?

Is it necessary that there should be an election process in ISM or in any college?Or rather the question should be that is it necessary to held the elections the way we have been helding from the years?

With the onset of 3rd year I was not the same guy I used to be.The truth is that I was forced to be different and it was really frustrating. For the last 2 years in this college I have maintained a good rapport with most of  my batch mates(with 1 or 2 exceptions of course). What happens in 3rd year that a guy whom you know very well, have shared a lot of time and space suddenly stops talking to you and becomes very keen to find a chance to kick your ass? This vindictive behaviour has replaced the simple friendship and solidarity we had developed(or say automatically developed) when we entered this institution.I still remember the days when we used to lock our rooms to save our ass from seniors and nowadays I have to do the same things. The difference is that this time it is not your seniors but your own batch mates who want to have a taste of your ass.

For this whole election session I have to lock myself inside my room(being a potential secretary of a post). Each time when there was a knock at the door I had to ask"who is it?"-Oh,come on man you are in 3rd year and you are still behaving like a fresher. The time we share with our own batch mates reduced to minutes, then to seconds-milliseconds-nanoseconds and finally vanished.

This election process saw many creative events.Grudges were created automatically.Girls suddenly felt insecure at ISM(what happens to the rest of the year?).Female victimization drew attention of all.Cases of verbal investigation against guys who were not actually present at the spot reached to DSW.

All this was so disgusting,so condemnable.People you are here not to make rivals. If you can not make good friends ,at least don't make them your rival without any reason.

I don't want to fall in this election mayhem again. Thanks god this is over now.No more feeling insecure in my own room,No more extra attempt to ensure security of my I-card(if they were licence to kill anyone).

I would like to thank those who are in so called reign(iss). Congrats guys you deserve a place in our parliament.Wishing you a nice journey.
